“The Edge of an Abyss”: Trump Warns of America’s Dire Situation in Epic CPAC Speech [WATCH]

Former President Donald Trump didn’t mince words during his keystone speech on Saturday night during the CPAC Texas event, giving the audience a dire warning about the state of America and drawing the usual pearl-clutching concerns from his critics.

Particularly, Trump tore into the Biden regime and the path on which it has led America, one of disaster and malaise.

Ripping into Biden without a tad of restraint, Trump declared that, under the Biden regime, America “is being destroyed more from the inside than the out.”

Continuing, he went on to note that our once-great country “is on the edge of an abyss, and our movement is the only force on earth that can save it.”

That line about “our movement” was taken to mean that Trump is intent on getting back into electoral politics for 2024, ushering MAGA back into the White House in 2024. Further evidence of that came from what he said about the near-future, saying that the next few years will determine the fate of America. In his words:

What we do in the next few months and the next few years will determine whether American civilization will collapse or fail or whether it will triumph, thrive — frankly, like never before.”

Watch Trump here:

Trump also spoke on the almost “unbelievable,” as he put it, increases in the price of gas under Biden, along with the necessity of firing Biden and getting his far-left regime out of office before it’s too late.

Trump also spoke about certain hot-button cultural issues, railing against transgender athletes being included in sports teams, demanding the death penalty for drug dealers, and calling for homeless people to be ushered off the streets and into tent cities somewhere. Trump also highlighted the predations of illegal immigrants, commenting how they’re taking advantage of American citizens.

Those policy proposals, while very popular with his base, which isn’t a fan of rampant drug use, homeless people, many of whom are drug addicts, taking over the streets of America’s cities, or seeing their daughters have to change in locker rooms with potentially predatory biological men or compete against them on the field.

They drew the usual cries of “literally Hitler” from the usual suspects, however. For example, the leftist editor of Texas Monthly, Michael Hardy, went on a berserk Twitter rant in which he called Trump a fascist for being anti-drug dealer and anti-illegal immigrant, saying:

Trump’s rhetoric is significantly more extreme than even a few years ago. This might be most frightening speech I’ve ever heard. Full-on, unapologetic fascism.

Trump has either been reading Mein Kampf or having someone read it to him.

[…]Trump has either been reading Mein Kampf or having someone read it to him

Hardy also lost it when Trump intimated that he plans on firing corrupt members of the bureaucracy, saying: “Calls for new legislation allowing president to remove any government employee they deem corrupt. This is a call for a total purge of government“.

So apparently wanting to keep the border secure and fire corrupt bureaucrats makes you “literally Hitler” now.
