A 20-year-old woman was rescued from a Georgia sex slave home where she was abused and held in a feces-filled dog cage.
After a former resident traveled to Richmond County to retrieve some possessions and found the terrified victim, five people were arrested Tuesday, WRDW said.
“Upon entering the room he observed an unknown light brown-skinned female that was naked, beaten severely and currently locked in a dog cage,” an incident report published by the source states.
One tenant, Shawna Powell, 32, told the man that the confined lady was her “whore,” according to WJBF.
“She stole a bunch of stuff from me so she is going to be my sex slave and I am going to pimp her out until she pays it off,” the suspect claimed.
The man said the woman was nude and asking for help.
According to authorities, he overheard someone at the home indicate that multiple people were coming “to have their way” with the woman.
Deputies ordered everyone out of the Nellie Drive horror house at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.
DeMichael Dawson, 24, one of the residents, exited and told officers there were multiple persons and three pit bulls inside.
Deputies found the victim lying on a bed with multiple facial injuries in an empty dog cage in the feces-filled home.
WJBF said her eye was extremely swollen and damaged.

Police arrested Dawson Weston, 19, Anjelika Figueroa, 29, Savannah Piazzi, 18, and Powell.
Kidnapping, false imprisonment, violent assault, and criminal possession of a pistol or knife were their charges.
Dawson was charged with felon-in-possession of a firearm.
