According to a recent report from a local CBS affiliate in Vermont, WCAX, a team of high school girls volleyball players have been relegated to a single-person bathroom while a transgender teammate of theirs has sole use of the entire locker room.

A Vermont high school is cracking down after female students complained about a transgender student in their locker room — and the school’s solution is to ban the girls from their own locker room.
According to a report…the controversy arose when a transgender teammate allegedly made remarks that made some of the others on the team uncomfortable.
The school informed parents via email that officials were investigating claims that the girls on the team had harassed their transgender teammate. But in the interim, the transgender student is still allowed full use of the locker room while the others have been relegated to a single-stall bathroom to change one at a time.
Speaking to reporters was Blake Allen, one of the girls on the affected team who was brave enough to speak to reporters about the issue.
“It’s a huge thing. Everyone’s asking, ‘So, why aren’t you allowed in the locker room?’” Allen asked. “My mom wants me to do this interview to try to make a change. I feel like for stating my opinion — that I don’t want a biological man changing with me — that I should not have harassment charges or bullying charges. They should all be dropped,” she added.
Allen included in her statements the reminder that none of this was about playing with or alongside a transgender student. Amazingly, she even said she and the other girls had no issue at all with the student even using the restroom of their choice. For Allen and her teammates, it simply came down to sharing a locker room with a male and changing clothes in front of one another.
“There are biological boys that go into the girl’s bathroom but never a locker room,” Allen further explained. For good measure, she went on to explain that the district’s LGBT appeasement policy – making an entire team of girls share one bathroom while giving a single student an entire locker room – made absolutely no sense to her whatsoever.
“They want all the girls who feel uncomfortable — so pretty much 10 girls — to get changed in a single stall bathroom, which would take over 30 minutes. Where if one person got changed separately, it would take a minute, like no extra time,” she said, pointing out that it would make much more sense to give one student seeking accommodations a private bathroom facility instead of forcing a team of girls to use it one at a time.
According to the Vermont Agency of Education, transgender students should not be forced to use the bathroom or locker room that does not conform to their gender identity.
“The use of restrooms and locker rooms by transgender students requires schools to consider numerous factors …” The AoE policy reads, but it later adds, “A transgender student should not be required to use a locker room or restroom that conflicts with the student’s gender identity.”
