We all know the state of late-night television; unfunny, leftist hosts making snarky comments and bad jokes about Trump, Covid, and Republicans in general. If you can’t sleep, I’d avoid the pharmaceuticals and instead recommend a regular dose of Jimmy Kimmel. You’ll sleep like a baby. Another wanna-be on the circuit is Brit “comedian” Trevor Noah, from Comedy Central’s lowly rated “Daily Show”. I’m pretty sure more people watch late night infomercials for “Mighty Putty” (RIP Billy Mays) than watch the Daily Show, but something strange happened the other night. Shocking, if you will. Trevor Noah was funny! Now before you rush out to set your Tivo for the Daily Show, let’s assume this is a one off and it won’t happen again. After all it’s not every day (yet) that Joe Biden sees ghosts and the jokes write themselves. Check this out from Breitbart:
President Joe Biden’s shout out to a deceased congresswoman Wednesday left much of his White House audience and Democratic supporters squirming, a fact even The Daily Show noticed later that day as the Comedy Central show host Trevor Noah mocked Biden’s latest mental lapse.
In case you didn’t know, Biden was hosting an event on hunger, and wanted to give a shout out to Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN). Unfortunately, Walorski passed away in a car accident in August. That didn’t stop old Joe from looking around for her and asking if she was there. That is, unless he actually saw her. Joe has been known to shake a ghost hand or two.
Noah showed the clip of Biden searching the crowd for Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN), who died in a car accident just last month.
“Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie?” he asked. “She must not be here,” he continued, as Breitbart News reported at the time.
“No, Joe, what are you doing?!” Noah lamented. “So awkward.”
Noah added Biden’s explanation “didn’t help,” wondering if the president was actually looking for Jackie Kennedy.

I know that’s not hilarious, but considering the super low bar for Trevor Noah, that’s comedy gold. Even the late night tv apologists are having a hard time covering for Grumpy Joe. it’s only a matter of time before they recognize what we all already see and turn on Biden before the Democrats show him the door, or a fresh Republican House brings impeachment charges against him.
The response from the White House to Biden’s gaff was no less confusing, with the claim it was “not an unusual scenario” for a president to make public calls seeking a response from a dead person.
During a press conference later in the day, Breitbart News reported White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Biden had Walorski at the “top of mind” and claimed his attempt to find the deceased congresswoman was not “unusual.”
Well, it’s also not unusual for Joe to get lost leaving a stage, or to fall upstairs, or to shake ghost hands. That doesn’t make it any less concerning that this senile old man is behind the wheel of the country while the rest of us kids are along for the ride with no child seats or seatbelts.
Perhaps Karine Jean-Pierre can throw her hat in the late-night ring when she leaves the White House. She is already funnier on a daily basis that Trevor Noah, and those are just White House press events.
You have to laugh folks, otherwise it’s just too depressing. While we can’t count on it with any regularity, at least Trevor Noah gave as a little one.
