Watch: Hurrican Center Boss Shuts Down Don Lemon’s Climate Change Narrative on Ian

Hurricane Ian is bearing down on Florida and residents are preparing for the worst. Mass evacuations have been mandated for much of the southwest part of the state as it prepares to make land around Fort Myers.

Even as the state prepares for the worst, lefty politicians and commentators are seizing the opportunity to politicize the storm and weaponize it against Ron DeSantis. Of course, the usual boogeyman of climate change is being blamed by Democrats, despite the fact that it’s hurricane season, and this is the only major storm of the year.

Failed CNN host Don Lemon, on his new morning slot asked the National Hurricane Centers Jamie Rohme about the impact of global warming on Ian.

Tuesday, during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon, National Hurricane Center acting director Jamie Rohme responded to the possibility Hurricane Ian bearing down on Florida was a direct consequence of climate change.

Apparently, Lemon missed the 120 hurricanes that have made landfall in Florida since 1851. This is not a new phenomenon, but the left certainly wants to act like it is the result of climate change.

So, meteorologists, Jamie, have said that this storm could be entering another period of rapid intensification. Can you tell us what this is and what effect the climate change has on this phenomenon?

Such a stupid question by Lemon, clearly with an ulterior motive; pushing the lefts climate alarmist narrative. For his part, Rohme was having none of it.

Well, we can come back and talk about climate change at a later time. I want to focus on the here and now.

If you look here, you can actually see pretty interesting for your viewers. You can actually see a second eye wall forming around the inner eye wall, and that’s basically the second eye wall has overtaken the original eye wall, and that should arrest development.

It appears the only arrested development for Don Lemon is his ability to stay on topic and not bait Rohme to blame climate change. Lemon continued to press the issue.

So, listen, I just — I’m just trying to get that you said you want to talk about climate change, but what — what effect does climate change have on this phenomenon that — that is happening now. Because it seems these storms are intensifying. That’s the question here.

Once again Lemon strays from the topic at hand, which is the development of the storm that the Rohme is describing, until he puts the question to rest.

I don’t think you can link climate change to any one event-on the whole, on the cumulative, a climate change may be making storms worse. But to link it to any one event, I would caution against them.

Apparently, that was enough for Lemon and his narrative. The left has shown their true colors once again, from tweets suggesting they call Ian by its pronouns to annoy DeSantis, to using the storm as another excuse to push a disastrous green energy movement. The only focus should be on the state of Florida, its residents, and how to best help them rebuild. The left isn’t interested in any of that, only politics.
