Major airline changes rules, allows male flight attendants to wear skirts (video)

Virgin Atlantic wants to “champion the individuality” of it’s people, but now they’re facing backlash from travelers for allowing male flight attendants and pilots to wear skirts.

NDTV reported the following: “Virgin Atlantic updated its gender identity policy by giving its crew the choice of what uniform to wear. The airline announced that it’s allowing its female cabin crew and pilots to wear trousers and male counterparts’ skirts at work. Owned by Sir Richard Branson, the airline said that it wants to “champion the individuality” of its people and customers. The female employees of the airlines were required to wear a bright red uniform, while their male counterparts wore burgundy. The airlines said the move was to reflect the diversity of the workforce and these changes will make the airline “the most inclusive airline in the skies.” (source)

The company risks losing customers for “going woke” and catering to a tiny fraction of employees or people who might be interested in men wearing skirts in public or at work. Many others feel that men should be wearing pants or shorts and women could be in pants, shorts, or skirts, but men should not be in skirts unless it’s something they want to do in their own time.

Others have suggested that the airline take this back and stick with the usual uniform policy because they don’t want their kids exposed to this bizarre, confused lifestyle and don’t want it to impact their children in a negative way. Many others are saying that instead of changing the uniform policy, find other workers if the men won’t wear what they’re supposed to wear (pants or shorts). Another suggestion is to give the small amount of men who wish to wear a skirt help with a therapist or counselor to remind them that they are a male, and men don’t wear skirts unless it’s on their own time – not in front of kids or customers who don’t want to see that.
