Trump WAS invited to a ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ for late Queen Elizabeth II

Many people weren’t sure what’s going on with Donald Trump and the possibility of him being invited to anything that might honor the late Queen Elizabeth II, but now we’ve got some news! Among the former Presidents invited to Queen Elizabeth’s Memorial, Donald Trump and Barack Obama are both on the list.

Yahoo News reported: “In fact, all five living former presidents—Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter—have been invited to “a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” in collaboration with the British Embassy at the Washington National Cathedral.”

It doesn’t mean the former presidents are being left out entirely just because they’re no longer in the White House. But the current President Biden had confirmed his plans to attend the official state service, even before the formal arrangements for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth were announced.

Having played host to the funerals of Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and George HW Bush, as well as memorial services for the likes of Winston Churchill, the Queen’s beloved first Prime Minister, the cathedral has a long and prominent history.

In honor of Her Majesty’s 96 years of life, after the death of Queen Elizabeth II was announced, the cathedral’s bell rang 96 times.
