“Not Rational”: Slow Joe Stuns with Crazy Illegal Immigrant Deportation Argument

Most reasonable people would call the idea of deporting people who entered America illegally “rational.” Perhaps they wouldn’t agree with the policy, thinking that being merciful is appropriate here, that there might be extenuating circumstances, or that we might just need the labor. So there’s a debate, but it’s rare to find someone who is both reasonable and willing to say that it’s “irrational” to think that our immigration laws should be enforced.

Well, guess what Slow Joe just said: that the idea of giving illegal immigrants the boot is “not rational.”

He said as much when speaking to reporters on Tuesday, saying: “Fewer immigrants [are] coming from Central America and from Mexico. This is a totally different circumstance [from prior years]. What’s on my watch now is Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.  And the ability to send them [the migrants] back to those states is not rational.”

CBS News, for its part, speculated that Biden is just trying to dodge dough questions before the 2022 midterms and downplay controversy as the massive migrant surge at the border continues. Watch that here.

As you can hear in the above video, CBS News’ Senior White House and Political Correspondent, Ed O’Keefe, suggested that Biden is attempting to dodge controversy on the illegal immigration issue, saying:

Well, these specific flights that have been chartered by Republican governors or the donors who love them, there hasn’t been much of a response. … If anything, what it is is, the White House says, well, if Republicans are really serious about this, let’s get together and write some legislation, and then they point to the fact that, on his first day in office, they introduced a big comprehensive immigration bill.

“The problem is, they haven’t done anything about it since. And so, in essence, it was released that day to appease a certain segment of the electorate, predominately Latino voters, progressives who have been concerned about this, the business community, to some extent…but you haven’t seen much movement on that issue at all since.”

O’Keefe also noted that Biden isn’t taking action despite having the leaders of the problem nations present for a UN summit, saying:

“He [Biden] says, well, it’s different, the challenge I’m facing is different. And yet, there’s been no action, right? He’s here at the U.N. this week, for example, could he not say to the Cuban, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan officials who are here, ‘hey, why are you letting this happen?’

“Why not carve out some time to say to the Guatemalans, the Salvadorans, the Mexicans, again, why do people still feel compelled to leave your country?” And “He has focused on so many other urgent issues, and they are urgent. But here again it comes. And they have tried to put this off for so long, and at this point, now, they’re trying to avoid the conversation going into November.

But, of course, Biden isn’t doing that. And with his claiming that deporting illegal immigrants from those places is “not rational,” why would he? The hordes of migrants can “enrich us.” Unless they arrive at Martha’s Vineyard and are quickly deported, that is.
