Biden’s Inflation Numbers Up Again!

Brandon strikes again! What a mess, folks. Our economy is going nowhere fast, despite what the Biden White House wants you to believe. Prices are still high at the pump, food prices are still high, and I can’t wait to see how much more expensive heating my home will be this winter. Biden keeps winning!

Joe will tell you that things are better, and he is “changing lives”, which I guess is true because so many people’s lives are worse under him than Trump. The cold reality is Biden has led us headfirst into a recession that we aren’t going to be getting out of anytime soon.

That’s not just my opinion, since we now have August’s inflation number, and they don’t look good. All Joe had to do was open the country and steer the ship into a glorious economic comeback from Covid, and he crashed it into a tree instead. Tough times ahead, folks check out these numbers from the Washington Examiner:

President Joe Biden urged the public to be patient as his administration reacts to higher-than-expected inflation last month.

Overall, prices have been essentially flat in our country these last two months: that is welcome news for American families, with more work still to do,”

So, we are supposed to celebrate the fact that prices haven’t gone UP in the last two months? That’s like being hit in the face with a brick for two months, then celebrating just getting hit with a rock instead. They both suck. That is also not my experience based on grocery shopping, as pretty much everything continues to trend upwards. I have no idea how people with multiple kids are doing it right now.

Biden pointed to the decrease in gas prices since June’s national average high of $5 a gallon, adding that food cost increases had slowed and “real wages went up again for a second month in a row.”

“It will take more time and resolve to bring inflation down, which is why we passed the Inflation Reduction Act to lower the cost of healthcare, prescription drugs and energy,” he said. “My economic plan is showing that, as we bring prices down, we are creating good paying jobs and bringing manufacturing back to America.”

Gas prices have gone down, but they never should have been that high to start with. Biden can blame foreign sources all he wants; truth is if we were still using our own resources, we wouldn’t have this issue. What manufacturing is being brought back? Companies bolted from America once Trump was out of office because they knew the Democrats wouldn’t make them stay.

I have yet to see a single nonpartisan economist support Bidens claim that the so-called Inflation Reduction Act will do anything but add to inflation. If August is any indication, they are correct. The claims of reduced prescription and energy costs are dubious as well. By giving Medicare the ability to negotiate with the drug companies and forcing price fixing on some drugs, it’s only going to result in the drug companies producing less, thus making some drugs harder to get.

The Republican National Committee disagreed with Biden’s response to 8.3% inflation for the year ending Aug. 31. Core consumer prices, which exclude energy and food, also rose by 6.3% compared to the previous year. Grocery costs, in particular, spiked by 13.5%, the largest increase in 43 years.

The RNC is correct, and no amount of political posturing or spin by the Democrats can change the cold, hard facts of the numbers. Things are messy right now, and likely to get messier until this administration is replaced by one with some fiscal common sense. Until then, buckle up, it’s going to be rough.
