So much for their promise to clean house and return to non-partisan reporting. All those firings of Chris Cuomo, Brian Stelter, Chris Wallace, Jeffrey Lubin’ Toobin, and others don’t mean much if more insane radical leftists take their place. How else to explain Dean Obeidallah?
The far-left podcaster and CNN contributor posted a series of tweets that explicitly compared pro-freedom, conservative Americans to the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks that brutally massacred over three thousand innocents. If it sounds insane, it’s because it is.
The lunatic Obeidallah began his descent into madness back in August, tweeting that he “LITERALLY view[s] people who still support Donald Trump no different than the despicable, vile people who supported Bin Laden after 9/11.”

A month later, Obeidallah doubled down, tweeting on September 10th the following message:
“Terrorists are terrorists – be they Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda or Trump’s MAGA,” Obeidallah wrote in one tweet. “Time to hold Trump accountable!!”

From there, Obeidallah displayed what TRump Derangement Syndrome does in grown adults, reducing his ability to think clearly and rationally to that of a small child. A string of incoherent ramblings followed one after another in aimless anger.
“MAGA and Al Qaeda both waged deadly attacks against our nation to end our democracy,” he wrote in another. “The difference is the leader of Al Qaeda has been brought to justice, while the leader of MAGA, Donald Trump, still travels our nation radicalizing people for his next terrorist attack.”
“Only in America can Donald Trump attempt a coup and wage the Jan 6 terrorist attack and still walk free. Time to bring Trump to justice to protect our nation the same way we brought to justice all involved in 9/11 from Bin Laden on down.”
“Take a moment and imagine if after 9/11, Bin Laden were allowed to freely travel America, spewing lies in an effort to radicalize more people to commit violence in his name?!”
“There’s no comparison between 9/11 and Jan 6 in terms of loss of life. But Jan 6 was far more dangerous to our nation in that it was Americans who waged the attack after being radicalized by Donald Trump. And very dangerously, Trump still travels the nation radicalizing people.”
“I know that right wing media outlets will attempt to grotesquely twist my tweets invoking 9/11, but I will never stop calling out the threat Trump and MAGA pose to our nation–especially not on the anniversary of 9/11.”
Laughably, Obeidallah eventually regained consciousness long enough to realize these tweets might come across meanly stupid and asinine. Instead of apologizing, he instead decided to blame right-wing media for distorting his words. There isn’t much distortion necessary, in this case. He made it sound bad enough on his own.
