LOL: WV Coal Miners Rescue Unreliable EV That Ran Out of Battery

You can’t make this story up, fossil fuels come to the rescue to save “green” energy!

Last week, West Virginia state Sen. Randy Smith shared a post on Facebook showing him and five of his co-workers at a coal mine pushing a stranded electric vehicle that apparently had run out of battery.

In the post Randy said, “Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend.”

Typical, some coastal liberal elite from Washington, D.C. didn’t realize there aren’t charging stations everywhere like in their Whole Foods parking lot.

Smith continued in the post, “He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. They couldn’t pull it because it was all plastic underneath and nothing to hook up to. So here are 5 coal miners pushing a battery car to the coal mine to charge up.”

This goes to show you that even if they were reliable and convenient, electric vehicles sacrifice all utility and luxury just so they can be “green”.

There’s nothing to even hook the car up to in order to tow it.  Nothing but cheap plastic.

I guess that what you have to do if the battery alone costs over $30k.

The post concludes by saying, “This just shows you coal miners are good people and will go out of their way to help anyone friend or foe. Im honestly glad they ended up where they could get some help because they couldn’t get a tow truck to come and this is out in the middle of nowhere. One guy even dropped off a Friend of Coal license plate when he left to go home.”

When it comes down to it, these hard working coal miners and the broader fossil fuel industry are what will power this country regardless of what the green energy Dems will say.

We still rely on fossil fuels for 80% of our energy demands and that is not going to magically change overnight like the progressives think.

What will happen is, Biden and green energy Dems will continue to regulate the fossil fuel industry, making production more expensive to coerce consumers into using renewable energy.

In Germany, for example, they allowed their natural gas reservers to decline as they increased renewable energy sources only to fire up coal plants after Russia cut back on their natural gas exports to Europe.

Shocker, the renewables could not sustain the energy demands through the winter.

This ironic photograph perfectly illustrates the energy dynamic around the world right now:  when renewables fail, fossil fuels will have to pick up the slack.
