Grammy-winning rapper Eminem ignited a social media hot topic about his faith in Jesus Christ as of late with another single that has them acclaiming Jesus, promoting Scripture, and decrying satan. The tune, Use This Gospel (Remix), is a joint effort with Kanye and is a track on D.J. Khaled’s new album God Did. The first tune was included in Kanye’s album back in 2019 Jesus Is King.
“I’m holding on but I don’t know if I can take it much longer; today’s the day that I put all of my trust and faith in You, Father,” Eminem raps in the tune.
This is a huge change of pace for the famous rappers who are known to promote and talk about the struggle including gang violence, sleeping around, clubbing, drugs, and much much more. In one song that went viral called Rap god, Eminem raps about being very good at his lyric game and saying why be a king when you can be a god? Many Christians also talked about hidden messages in the same song such as “six minutes” being repeated in the background three times equating to 666, or when he says “satan, take the f***ing wheel…”
D.J. Khaled and Kanye are also known to have lyrics in their music that can be likened to Eminem’s lyrics shown above. That’s why many of their fans are in shock and their jaws dropped to the floor. Another lyric line to Eminem’s new song says: “So my Savior, I call on, to rescue me from these depths of despair, so these demons better step like a stair, because He is my shepherd, I’m armed with Jesus, my weapon is prayer.”

The tune’s conclusion lyrics talk about Christ and the Bible as well saying: “Bible at my side like a rifle with a God-given gift, every single day I thank God for, that’s why I pay so much homage, praises to Jesus, I’ll always.”
The tune grabbed the attention of many around the world who have mixed feelings about the new song. One such person who was impressed was faith-based composer DeWayne Hamby, who noted at Patheos that Eminem, a gritty musician, “might seem like an unlikely person to sing the praises of Jesus Christ” however added that the rapper recently referred to his faith back in a 1996 song.
A magazine noted that there is the utilization of one “semi-curse word” in the song, but it is otherwise safe for your next Sunday Service and you can safely listen to it in the open – even around your children and grandma. However, I’d be careful if you do so. Additionally, some refuse to accept the new tune as being faith-based, but what does the Bible have to say about such things?
Well, the Bible says many things about singing and worshiping unto God Almighty. For example, Psalm 96 reads: “Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods…”
I’d say that only Eminem and other famous people can truly know in their hearts what they truly believe and what sort of relationship they have with God, and that’s between them and God. Another scripture says that we would be able to judge a person by the fruit they bare. This song is Eminem’s fruit at this moment, and it is praise and worship to God. May he along with every rapper and person in the Hollywood business come to Jesus’ light and be blessed.
