OOPS: Brandon Just Had His “Basket of Deplorables” Moment [WATCH]

Jesse Watters just sounded off on Brandon in a recent segment, blasting a comment he made in a recent speech and comparing it to Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” comment from 2016.

Speaking on that, Watters blasted Biden and didn’t mince words, saying:

“Joe Biden had his own deplorable moment today when he came out and called the entire MAGA movement fascists. Saying this: ‘what we’re seeing now is the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump but the entire philosophy that underpins I’m going to say something it’s like Semi-fascism.’

“74 million people voted for Trump they are all fascists according to Joe Biden…”

Wait, what’s that? Biden called everyone that voted for the bad orange man that did bad orange things “fascists”? Yup.

Well, he called us all “semi-fascists,” which I guess is a degree better, if just as ridiculous. Apparently fascism now means opposing corporatism and standing for free speech…one thinks Mussolini and Franco might have disagreed.

In any case, it’s what Biden said. In his words:

What we’re seeing now is the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something — it’s like semi-fascism.

So you’re a semi-fascist for…reasons.

And so you can compare it, here’s a reminder of what Hillary said in her infamous “basket of deplorables” comment:

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

And apparently Team Biden is totally unable to articulate those reasons, as White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre showed us when she appeared on CNN and couldn’t manage to answer Don Lemon’s question about what Biden meant, saying “what exactly is semi-fascism?”

She, predictably, had no answer and said:

What we are seeing from Republicans these past several years is that they are attacking our democracy, they are taking away our freedom, and they are trying to put on the chopping blocks Medicare and Social Security.

“That’s what we are seeing and it’s being done…by this element, this MAGA element of the Republican Party, and that’s what we are trying to prevent, that’s what you heard from the president today.”

Watch her here:

Utterly absurd. For one, Trump made it very clear that he was against cutting Social Security and Medicare, so that claim, along with her others, is just untrue. But, beyond that simple fact, being against the welfare state would hardly make someone a “semi-fascist,” whatever that is.

The RNC, for its part, pushed back in something marginally better than its usual, weak way, having this to say on Twitter.
