YIKES: Epstein Associate Found DEAD in Connecticut Apartment

Has anyone seen Hillary recently? Because another Epstein associate was just found dead in a Connecticut apartment (just kidding, fact-checkers; that’s just a joke, not a claim that she killed him).

In any case, that dead Epstein associate is Steven Hoffenberg. Hoffenberg was Jewish and one of Epstein’s close friends. He also served 18 years in prison, though his time in an orange jumpsuit was thanks to his stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from investors in the 90s in a shocking case that was, at the time, called “one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history”.

Hoffenberg claimed that Epstein was involved in the Ponzi scheme, though Epstein was never locked up for his supposed involvement and left free to continue abusing kids.

And the two now dead creeps were close enough that as late as 2019, long after Epstein’s crimes were well-known, Hoffenberg called Epstein his “best friend” and “wingman” in a CBS interview. Yikes.

The New York Post, reporting on Hoffenberg’s death and why investigators arrived at his apartment and found him, reported that:

Steven Hoffenberg, the disgraced businessman and longtime mentor of Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead Tuesday when Connecticut police discovered his rotting corpse during a wellness check, The Post has learned.

Authorities discovered Hoffenberg, who spent 18 years in prison for running a half-billion-dollar Ponzi scheme, dead in his home around 8 p.m. Tuesday. It is not clear exactly when he died.

Police had been called to the 77-year-old’s home in Derby, Conn., at the request of a friend.

It is, as of now, unknown why Hoffenberg died. Though the body was decomposing, an autopsy revealed the body to be Hoffenberg’s but did not reveal the cause of death. Toxicology results are pending, but there are, according to Newsweek, no signs of trauma.

Police, commenting on his death and what parts of the investigation are still ongoing, said “A subsequent dental record comparison is underway to make a positive identification and subsequent notifications to appropriate next of kin.

Newsweek also put Hoffenberg’s death in context by noting the number of other Epstein associates that have recently been found dead, saying:

Hoffenberg, 77, was the latest of several Epstein associates found dead. French modeling scout Jean-Luc Brunel died by suicide in his prison cell this year in Paris. Brunel was also found hanged, while awaiting trial on charges of raping minors and sexual harassment. American Military News reported in June that Mark Middleton, a former special advisor to President Bill Clinton with ties to Epstein, was found dead in May. Middleton’s death also was ruled a suicide. He was found hanged from a tree with a shotgun wound in his chest.

Middleton’s death in particular raised eyebrows, as you can read about here.

We’ll see what the cops and their toxicology report says about Hoffenberg’s cause of death. He seems like a bad dude that won’t be missed, but the number of Epstein associates dropping dead is bound to raise eyebrows.
