This Faith-Based Group Is Making a Difference by Living Out 1 Peter 4:10–11

A group of Christians has traveled from Texas to help deliver to those in dire need of furniture and cleaning supplies who were affected by Hurricane Ida. They stand on their faith strong, and are centered around 1 Peter 4:10-11 which reads:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

In simpler terms, it means that we are to serve others to the best of our ability in the strength that God has provided us with so that He may be glorified through our actions, or simply being the hands and feet of God and doing His will, and that’s exactly what this group called Angels are doing.

The hope and help will arrive and begin on Friday, August 19 at 321 Events – Skye the Event Place at 11 a.m. Lachandra Morris, the owner, has worked intimately with the Texas charitable gathering to provide a large space for the help and giveaway for the community to run smoothly and efficiently.

Virginia Valentine established Angels Serving With a Purpose in the outcome of Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Innumerable people lost their homes without having protection or the monetary means to return. While Red Cross and different organizations had the option to give vouchers for apparel and different necessities, getting the survivors in a good place again left a lot to be desired and needed.

“That’s when I decided to step in to purchase furniture to help them on their road to recovery,” Valentine said.

Angels Serving With a Purpose extended its scope across Texas, giving hope and aid to storm survivors in Houston, Beaumont, Port Arthur, and different regions. The association kept on developing past state lines, serving urban communities in North Carolina and Mississippi after debacles. It isn’t their first rodeo either, they’ve been helping out for a while when and wherever they can.

At the point when Valentine saw the way of destruction that Hurricane Ida tore through LaPlace and encompassing regions, she realized she needed to help. Correspondence with the St. John Parish organization drove her to shape associations with individuals from the local area, including New Wine Christian Fellowship Pastor Neil Bernard, 321 Events owner Lachandra Morris, and Willma Harvey of Louisiana’s River Parishes Tourist Commission.

The giveaway occasion will incorporate many thoughtful and practical items such as mops, brushes, clothing bins, school supplies, and a lot of home products, along with, fine china, including larger items such as a completely outfitted room and dining sets. Valentine needs the conveyance space to feel as bombastic as a furniture display area.

“We want to bless those that are in need or hurting. Prices have gone up since the storm hit a year ago. Individuals might have had to choose between meals and cleaning supplies because of inflation. Once we do this as a beginning, then we can see how much need is still out there, and I’ll come back again. I’m willing and ready to. We want to put a smile on people’s faces because we never know when a storm will hit,” Valentine said.

This occasion is made conceivable through donations and backing from other people who share Valentine’s vision of having a positive effect on the existence of those getting through difficult stretches and being God’s hands and feet.
