Mayor Bowser complains about migrant problem, but gets called out immediately (video)

Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott effectively told Democratic Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to go away after she complained that the state bordering her city was flooding it with illegal immigrants. The exchange is taking place as critics and many pundits have claimed that the policies of Democratic President Biden have resulted in the unprecedented border crisis. It has resulted in hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens flooding the Southern Border States for most of Biden’s tenure. Bowser was accused of being a flip-flopper and wrecked on Fox News, too!

WATCH Bowser get slammed on video:

“With pledges from Texas and Arizona to continue these abhorrent operations indefinitely, the situation is dire, and we consider this a humanitarian crisis — one that could overwhelm our social support network without immediate and sustained federal intervention,” Bowser wrote to ask for the National Guard’s help.

“We’ve had a number of discussions,” she stated. “We’ve facilitated FEMA’s involvement with a million dollar grant that has now been increased to work with a lead nonprofit agency. We’ve facilitated using those grant funds to set up respite center in a neighboring jurisdiction and I’ve also asked the Secretary of the Army to deploy the D.C. National Guard to help lead that effort.”

Abbott replied on Twitter, saying: “D.C. is experiencing a fraction of the disastrous impact the border crisis has caused Texas.” “Mayor Bowser should stop attacking Texas for securing the border & demand Joe Biden do his job,” Abbott added. Abbott continued on to blast the Biden ministration for the “true humanitarian crisis,” harkening back to Bowser’s letter calling the busing of illegal immigrants into the city a crisis of such. “The true ongoing humanitarian crisis is along our southern border,” Abbott wrote. “The Biden Administration is allowing historic levels of illegal immigrants, weapons, and deadly drugs like fentanyl to surge into our state.

Bowser declared in her letter that she is expecting the “crisis” in D.C., a term that Democrats have been resistant to use when discussing the Biden border crisis, “to escalate.” “The number of people crossing the border seeking asylum, we expect to only go up, we need to make sure that there is a national response, not an ad hoc city by city, state by state response,” she continued.

Renae Eze, a spokeswoman for Abbott, told the Washington Examiner that the nation’s capital, which is deep blue, “finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun and overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrants thanks to President Biden’s open border policies.”

“If the mayor wants a solution to this crisis, she should call on President Biden to take immediate action to secure the border — something he has failed to do,” Abbott said.

Bowser had been writing letters to President Joe Biden’s administration and the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency requesting that the National Guard be activated indefinitely and authorization to use the D.C. Armory as a processing center. In the last three months, there have reportedly been more than 150 buses transporting more than 4,000 migrants to D.C. from Arizona and Texas.
