Joe Rogan held a conversation about the privacy concerns related to TikTok on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, this Tuesday.

“I read TikTok’s terms of service, I went down a TikTok rabbit hole yesterday…This is so crazy,” Rogan said on his show with comedian Theo Von (episode 1847).
Next, Rogan explained that he had read TikTok’s lengthy terms of service, to which every app user must agree.
Speaking about the terms of service, Rogan began, “It said, ‘We collect certain information about the device you use to access the platform, such as your IP address, user region.’ This is really crazy.”
He then said, “User agent, mobile carrier, time zone settings, identifiers for advertising purpose, model of your device, the device system, network type, device IDs, your screen resolution and operating system, app and file names and types” are all things that the social media app will have access to on its users’ devices.
“So all your apps and all your file names, all the things you have filed away on your phone, they have access to that, ‘File names and types, keystroke patterns or rhythms.’”
“So they’re monitoring your keystrokes, which means they know every f—ing thing you type.”
“‘Battery state, audio settings and connected audio devices, where you log in from multiple devices, we will be able to use your profile information to identify your activity across devices. We may also associate you with information collected from devices other than those you use to log into the platform.’”
“Meaning they can use other computers that you’re not even using to log into TikTok. They can suck the data off that. That’s what you’re agreeing to when you download and start using TikTok,” concluded Rogan.
Comedian Theo Von asked Rogan, “”It’s insane… Do you think they created TikTok just on purpose to have all that?”
“100 percent,” replied Rogan.
Rogan went on to explain how all of this would end, once all of the spyware is in place.
“It ends with China having all of your data,” he quickly explained.
There are many logical fears associated with the loss of our precious privacy at the hands of any government, especially that of a rival nation.
In TikTok, China appears to have found a way to listen to American conversations, record the keystrokes of its users, and maybe even use other devices that do not have the TikTok software installed.
This is information that Former President Donald J Trump was trying to explain to the American people in his bid to stop the growth of the social media giant.
Now, we are beginning to see that he was right to be concerned. This comes as many of our children use TikTok daily, opening a window into their world which could be used by the creators of TikTok.
These terms and conditions laid out on the TikTok app should raise red flags for its current app users, and cause non-users to stay away from the spyware app.
With more people sounding the alarms in the same way that Rogan has, the western world can fight back against Chinese invasions of privacy.
