Insane: Comedy Venue Goes Woker than Netflix, Cancels Chappelle for Gender Joke

Famous stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle had his show canceled last-minute at a venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The First Avenue theater, according to Reuters, decided to move Chappelle’s show to the neighboring Varsity Theater, where the comedian plans to hold more shows this week.

This comes after “The Closer”, Dave Chappelle’s stand-up special presented by Netflix, received massive backlash from the LGBTQ community.

A message from the First Avenue venue reads, “To staff, artists, and our community, we hear you and we are sorry. We know we must hold ourselves to the highest standards, and we know we let you down. We are not just a black box with people in it, and we understand that First Avenue is not just a room, but meaningful beyond our walls.”

Chappelle’s team has yet to make a comment on the matter.

Chappelle, who was recently a victim of an on-stage assault from an audience member, is no stranger to controversy and the dangers that it can bring.

Following his Netflix special, The Closer, many woke Netflix employees held a strike in an attempt to force the streaming giant to silence Chappelle.

For his part, Chappelle has stood strong in the face of adversity and doubled down to become a beacon of free speech in the face of cancel culture.

In one of the jokes that sparked rage from the radical left, Chappelle compares the act of a biological man transitioning to become a woman to that of a white man performing in blackface.

Here is a transcript of his special, with an excerpt of the joke,

“And they canceled it because, she said in an interview and this is not exactly what she said, but effectually she said that gender was a fact.

And then the trans community got mad as shit, they started calling her a TERF. I didn’t even know, what the f*ck that was. But I know that trans people make up words to win arguments. [laughter] So I looked it up. TERF is an acronym. It stands for Trans-exclusionary radical feminist.

This is a real thing, this is a group of women… that hate transgender. They don’t hate transgender women but they look at trans women the way we Blacks might look at Black face.

It offends them like, “Oh, this b*tch is doing an impression of me.” [laughter] Now I shouldn’t speak on this because I’m not a woman nor am I a trans. But as we’ve established… I am a feminist. [laughter] That’s right.”

Even when presented as a joke, the radical left and cancel culture fanatics have shown, time and again, that any person who seems speaks against their LGBTQ agenda will be silenced.

Netflix, amid all of the criticism, has put pen to paper with Chappelle and has signed him for more stand-up specials to be hosted on the Netflix site.

Dave Chappelle, after being thrust into the limelight, has become a champion of free speech in America and has shown a new blueprint for dealing with cancel culture.

He has shown the importance of standing tall in the face of the allegations, and never backing down to the woke mob.
