Male Swimmers Barred From Competing As Females, If Post-Puberty

Following the national uproar of the popular #METOO movement, which was fully manifested during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and in the successful dethroning of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the American culture is now having to contend with the push for transgender rights.

Expect for the ongoing protests over the upcoming SCOTUS ruling ending Roe V Wade, the news cycle is no longer focused on stories demanding equity in pay, opportunities, and college sports funding for women, it is instead promoting LBGTQ causes, especially transgenderism.

The irony of this shift is the victims of this movement now end up being women, as though #METOO never mattered in the end.

In their attempt to address men, who think they are women, wanting to swim in women’s races, the world governing body for swimming, FINA, just approved their sport’s new gender inclusion policy.

It received over 70 percent support from its member federations, at a special congressional meeting, during the ongoing World Championships in Budapest.

“We have to protect the rights of our athletes to compete, but we also have to protect competitive fairness at our events, especially the women’s category at FINA competitions,” FINA President Husain Al-Musallam said in a statement.

FINA said they will also work on setting up an open competition category, open to athletes “without regard to their sex, their legal gender, or their gender identity”.

“FINA will always welcome every athlete. The creation of an open category will mean that everybody has the opportunity to compete at an elite level. This has not been done before, so FINA will need to lead the way. I want all athletes to feel included in being able to develop ideas during this process,” he added.

There is the main caveat to their new policy, however, which is not going over well with hyper-trans activists.

The only biological males who could compete in women’s swimming under the new policy would include:

Swimmers who have had “male puberty suppressed beginning at Tanner Stage 2 or before age 12, whichever is later, and they have since continuously maintained their testosterone levels in serum (or plasma) below 2.5 nmol/L.”

This new policy means Lia Thomas, the first transgender swimmer to win a major US national college title, will be ineligible to compete in the women’s category and will no longer be eligible to compete at any level.

As expected, Athlete Ally, a pro-LGBT group that supported Thomas in women’s swimming, spoke out against the new policy.

Former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies, who has been outspoken against transgender athletes competing in women’s sports, approved of the announcement.

She posted several Tweets: “I can’t tell you how proud I am of my sport for doing the science, asking the athletes/coaches, and standing up for fair sport for females.”

“Swimming will always welcome everyone no matter how you identify but fairness is the cornerstone of sport.”

To me, FINA and other governing groups are pandering to a very, very small group of boys dealing with gender dysphoria.

With the far left’s promoting alternative lifestyles, however, this group will grow, and if unchecked, normal girls and women will be the casualties of these dysfunctional accommodations.

#METOO has given way to LGBTQ, a Godless mess of mental illness.
