AOC won’t announce full support of Joe Biden, refuses endorsement for 2024

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced that she will consider backing President Joe Biden in a presidential run in 2024. She didn’t specify whether she’d vote for President Joe Biden or not, indicating that progressives are still weighing their options for the following election.

Ocasio-Cortez is not alone in her skepticism toward Joe Biden. Recent poll results show that US citizens are less willing to support Biden due mainly to the country’s staggeringly high inflation.

When asked if she plans to support Mr. Biden if he runs for a second term on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Ocasio-Cortez said, “I think we will take a look at it. But right now we need to be focused on winning a majority rather than the [2024] presidential election,” she added.

This is not the first time that New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has publicly criticized Biden’s presidency. AOC emphasized the importance of Joe Biden combating the recent inflation surge that has deeply affected US citizens. She emphasized that Biden must deal with other issues, such as immigration at the southern border and high gas prices.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has also weighed in on the poll results that cast doubt on Biden’s future as President. In an interview with Fox News Business, AOC was asked what would happen if Joe Biden broke a loan promise he made to students.

AOC said: “I think we have to ask ourselves: What, realistically, are we accomplishing as a team and as a collective between our families? And I think that the President has an extraordinary amount of options at his disposal that he has not yet exercised, and his ability to do that is going to be critical. I will say right now, folks may think that these are kind of independent voters that are contributing to his polling and whatnot.”

President Joe Biden has been chastised by AOC for dragging on this and simply not following through on his campaign pledges, which have so far been left unfulfilled, leaving voters with “buyer’s remorse.”

Joe Biden made promises and did not deliver, according to AOC, which is why younger people are giving him low poll scores.

President Joe Biden proposed forgiving up to $10,000 in student debt for each borrower, while the Democratic Party’s progressives want him to cancel up to $50,000 for each student/borrower.

Despite her positive working relationship with Biden, Ocasio-Cortez has criticized the President for his hesitancy in utilizing executive orders to implement reforms that progressives have long advocated.
