Following two separate cases in which folded dollar bills were discovered on the floor of a petrol station, investigators in Perry County, Tennessee are advising local citizens not to pick up any dollars that have been folded in half.
When the dollars were picked up, the person reportedly found a white powdery material inside of them. Perry County Sheriff’s Office was then able to confirm that Methamphetamine and fentanyl were found inside the dollar bills.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), fentanyl is a deadly opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. Inhalation, oral consumption, or skin contact are all potential routes of exposure. According to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, a person only needs a very small amount of fentanyl to die from its effects.

WREG News dropped these details on the frightening story:
“This is very dangerous, folks!” the Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook, “Please share and educate your children to not pick up the money.”
The Sheriff of Perry County, Nick Weems, said that he plans to push for legislation that would intensify the punishment if someone were caught using money “as a carrying pouch for such poison.”
“It enrages me as a father and the Sheriff, that people can act so carelessly and have no regard for others well being, especially a child. I hope we find the ones responsible,” Sheriff Weems said.
Since the pandemic, accidental overdose deaths have increased exponentially over the last two years. Lockdowns that resulted in the closure of gyms and churches isolated many.
Instead of waging a real war on drugs, many Democrat cities are doing the opposite. The city of New York has even created the United States’ first “safe injection sites” where residents of New York can shoot up heroin without any repercussions. The injection site was created to cut down the number of overdoses in the city but so far it has yet to put a dent in the number of overdoses.
NEW: The US will get its first authorized safe injection site, opening in New York City as early as today. This comes as the country grapples with record drug overdoses: https://t.co/rgNlZLykY9

Last month, a leaked report revealed that Trump told his advisors that the U.S. Army should launch drone strikes on drug labs in Mexico. The report was released by Trump’s former secretary of defense Mark Esper and was intended to be a hit piece but in reality, it backfired because most Conservative Americans would agree with Trump’s logic.
Trump wanted to start a real war on drugs instead of just using the phrase “war on drugs” as a piece of rhetoric that would appeal to voters.
