If you’re a conservative, you shouldn’t be watching the NFL at all. It’s woke, full of people that hate you, and has done more than even most other woke sports to push the message of hatred for America emanating out of BLM.
But, if you were for some reason still spending your time and money watching those that despise you and your nation, now you have another reason to turn off the television or rip those tickets to shred: now the cheerleaders are going to be trans.
That’s because the Panthers, North Carolina’s professional football team, just hired a transgender cheerleader, something that might encourage other teams to do the same.
The newest Carolina Panthers hire is a man who identifies as a woman and thus made it onto the cheerleading squad, confirmed the situation when speaking to Buzzfeed, with that outlet reporting that:
The 29-year-old is the newest member of the Topcats, the Carolina Panthers’ cheerleading squad — and she’s the first openly trans NFL cheerleader.
In an Instagram post announcing that she was joining the Topcats, Lindsay came out as trans to her new teammates — and also to the rest of her community.
Justine Lindsay, the transgender cheerleader, did post about the new job on Instagram, including a picture and saying:
“Cats Out the Bag you are looking at the newest member of the Carolina Panthers TopCats Cheerleader’s [TopCats] as the first Transgender femalI would like to thank the beautiful and talented dancers who supported me along the way alumni TopCats family and friends for your love and support. I would not have gotten to this moment in my life if it wasn’t for the support. Also to my beautiful coach [Chandalae Lanouette] you are a special being that I truly cherish thank you taking that leap of faith on me to be apart of your legacy and so many others.”
The story gets weirder, as apparently, Justine hadn’t told anyone, including family members, about the whole “being a transgender now” thing, so the post came as quite a shock to those close to the new Pathers cheerleader. Buzzfeed, reporting on that, said:
Even Lindsay’s best friend, whom she calls a sister, didn’t know she was trans. It was a secret she’d kept from everyone except her family.
“I just felt like when I posted it, whatever reaction I get from everyone, it does not matter,” Lindsay said. “And then my phone started blowing up.”
The director of the Topcats, speaking about hiring the transgender cheerleader, old Buzzfeed that though Lindsay had checked the “transgender” box on his application, he was hired not because of that but because of talent, saying, according to the same Buzzfeed article:
“My goal is to create a team of individuals that are absolute fire on the field but are incredible human beings in the locker room, good friends, good people, and at the end of the day, you have to walk through the door first to get to that spot.”
Yeah, sure.
