EPIC: CNN’s New President Has Some Very Bad News for Partisan Personalities on CNN Like Stelter

CNN has taken a serious nosedive since it hit an all-time high in January of 2021, with disgusted Americans turning off the far-left content it pushes while pretending to be neutral.

And, now that it’s wasted hundreds of millions of dollars on the already-canceled CNN+, it needs to make its content popular and profitable again, CNN needs to start making some cuts.

According to a recent report in Axios, those cuts, if they do indeed pan out, likely would hit CNN’s highly partisan “talent”, people of the Brian Stelter and Jim Acosta mold that pretend to be neutral commentators and reporters while really pushing highly conservative content.

Reporting on that, Axios claims that “CNN’s new boss, Chris Licht, is evaluating whether personalities and programming that grew polarizing during the Trump era can adapt to the network’s new priority to be less partisan.”

It goes on to note that while those personalities are being given a second chance and opportunity to reform, they’ll have to change or will likely be ousted, saying that “If talent cannot adjust to a less partisan tone and strategy, they could be ousted“.

Continuing, Axios claims that while Licht isn’t totally opposed to partisan content of the sort that CNN is now known for, he is trying to push it away from being dominated by such content, with the report claiming that “Licht doesn’t want to necessarily shy away from personality programming, especially in prime time, but he wants to ensure that partisan voices don’t dominate in a way that harms CNN, a source notes.”

Also, it names Jim Acosta and Brian Stelter as being the sort of personalities that are known for being highly partisan and frequently attacked by the right.

The report in Axios comes alongside other claims that CNN is looking to move away from partisan content and the personalities that push it.

John Malone, for example, a large investor in CNN, told CNBC last year that he “would like to see CNN evolve back to the kind of journalism that it started with, and actually have journalists, which would be unique and refreshing.”

Similarly, former Mediaite head Jon Nicosia claimed that CNN is in for some large staffing changes, saying:

SOURCE: In the new @CNN post-Discovery “the role of ‘Media Reporter’ is going to take a new direction that will require staff realignments”

Understand that the ‘Media Reporters’ at CNN. Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy were Zucker’s hit men and cleanup crew. It makes sense Discovery would like to start fresh. /More to come.

Also. The fact Discovery leaked the name of the new CNN head to an ex-CNN reporter and not current media reporters says all you need to know.

So perhaps CNN will be watchable again sometime soon, with news being aired by it again and personalities like Stelter, Don Lemon, and Jim Acosta replaced by real reporters.

However, such rumors have been swirling for a while, so whether the firings and changes will actually happen any time soon is unclear.
