It might be Nancy Pelosi that catches all the flak for suspiciously timed stock trades, but it’s her husband and son who have been getting in trouble with law enforcement as of late.
First, news broke that her son, Paul Pelosi Jr., had been tied to a number of sketchy companies and businesses investigated by the FBI. Now, news has just broken that her husband, Paul Pelosi, has been arrested in California for a DUI.
News on that comes from the New York Post, which reported moments ago that, over the weekend, Pelosi’s husband had been arrested and charged with drunk driving in California over the weekend.
Apparently, the 82-year-old investor was caught drunk driving by the police around midnight ni Napa Valley, California, and charged with two counts: one for the driving under the influence crime and another for driving with a BAC (blood alcohol content) of 0.08 or higher.
Both charges are misdemeanors and his bail was set at $5,000, a pittance for the multi-millionaire.
He was booked a few hours after his midnight arrest (about 4 am), and was released on bail about three hours after being booked, according to the Napa Valley booking records.
According to Fox News, the office of Nancy Pelosi has declined to comment on what it characterized as a “private” matter, saying:
“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”
No other details are yet available. As TMZ put it in its article on the situation, the breaking article on the topic, “The details of the incident of the arrest have yet to surface, and we’re working on getting a full narrative — as well as a mug shot if available — but at the moment, this is all there is.”
