New Biden Spokeswoman Claimed that the Republicans “Stole” Elections

Aren’t claims of voter fraud and stealing an election “literally insurrections” or whatever?

Apparently not when it’s a Democrat making those claims on behalf of Democrats, as it’s the nonsense that was pushed by Jen Psaki’s replacement, Karine Jean-Pierre.

Her Twitter timeline contains some old claims that the 2016 and 2018 elections were stolen by the GOP, claims that would probably get her kicked off the platform or otherwise censored were she a Republican making them about the 2020 election.

In 2016, for example, Jean-Pierre had this to say about the Trump-Clinton election:

Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election …..welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump

Then, in 2020, she claimed that Brian Kemp had stolen the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election from radical leftist Stacey Abrams, saying:

Reminder: Brian Kemp stole the gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacey Abrams.

Abrams has argued that that election was stolen too, saying, for example that Kemp only won because of voter “suppression”: “I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election,” Abrams said, according to NPR. “But to watch an elected official who claims to represent the people in this state baldly pin his hopes for election on suppression of the people’s democratic right to vote has been truly appalling.

USA Today, fact-checking the claims made by people like Abrams and Jean-Pierre, reported that:

Charles Bullock, a professor of political science at the University of Georgia, told USA TODAY maintaining the accuracy of voter lists is permitted under law, which often means removing voters, and that the holds would not have stopped those Georgians from voting.

“All the person had to do is show up with their photo ID, which everyone has to have, and they would’ve been allowed to vote,” he said. “But by making that claim, maybe that did inspire some more of those people to make sure that they did vote – both Democrats and Republicans.”

Kemp did not resign from his role until he’d all but won the election, thus overseeing the election in which he was a candidate. But it’s not uncommon for a secretary of state to continue holding that office while running in a race, Bullock said.

“Every secretary of state who has run for reelection as secretary of state in Georgia has held onto the office during that,” he said. “It’s just not that common for a secretary of state to run for governor.”

Despite her claims of voter fraud being false, Karine hasn’t been censored, much left attacked as launching an “insurrection” by the corporate media. I wonder why…? Oh yes, she’s a Democrat.

Biden, speaking about the Psaki replacement, said:

Karine not only brings the experience, talent and integrity needed for this difficult job, but she will continue to lead the way in communicating about the work of the Biden-Harris Administration on behalf of the American people

Sure she will, Joe, sure she will. But how long until she’s censored?
