Because Governor Abbott of Texas isn’t a fed, he can’t legally ship illegal immigrants back to Mexico. That’s the federal government’s responsibility and not something that states are allowed to do. But, if the illegals volunteer to hop on the buses, he can ship them elsewhere in the country.
So, Abbott decided to send them to DC in a message to Slow Joe, saying at the time:
“With the Biden administration ending Title 42 expulsions in May, Texas will be taking its own unprecedented actions this month to do what no state in America has ever done in the history of this country to better secure our state, as well as our nation.
“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed with hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C.
“We are sending them to the United States capital where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.”
Hilarious! What’s better, he actually did it and shipped the illegals all the way to D.C. on charter buses, on which they arrived in D.C. recently. Watch that here:

But now it gets even better: rather than just ship them to DC, where Biden can avoid them by hiding out in the White House basement, Abbott’s threatening to ship them somewhere a bit more personal to Slow Joe: his home state of Delaware!
That idea came when Abbot appeared on Hannity and was asked “Will you send every illegal immigrant that you find in the state of Texas to Washington, D.C.?”
Responding, Abbott threatened to make the insult directed toward Joe even more personal, saying, “We’re going to load them up and send them into Washington, D.C. If we run out of room there, Delaware looks like a great location.”
Further, Abbott struck a tone of defiance throughout the broadcast, saying that the process is going to keep rolling, Texas is gonna keep shipping illegals to Slow Joe, so long as he continues to allow the border crisis to continue:
“Texas is taking unprecedented action. As we’re speaking right now, Sean, the seventh bus is en route from Texas to Washington, D.C. This busing process is going to continue.
I want you and the audience to know exactly why we’re doing what we’re doing. The Biden administration, they were dropping off illegal immigrants just [into] small towns on the border. And I said, we’re not going to allow that to happen. The people in local communities were overrun by the people they had dumped off in these local communities and they were grappling with how to deal with it, and I said, well, we’re just going to bus them to Washington, D.C.”
So, regardless of where they’re shipped, whether they end up by the Executive Mansion in DC or Biden’s mansion in Delaware, illegal immigrants from Texas are going to keep ending up at Biden’s doorstep until he starts dealing with the issue at hand and fulfilling his duty to defend the border.
Abbott has kept his promise so far: the illegals actually ended up in D.C. Now we’ll see if he continues to keep it and continues the shipments as tensions escalate over his doing so. One expects Biden will start getting unhappy if Delaware is filled up with illegals.
