Theatre Company Hosts ‘Family Sex Show’ Which Includes Adult Nudity For Kids 5+

A theatre company is set to produce an informative play about sex, gender identity and sexual pleasure aimed at families and children from as young as five.

The British production company ThisEgg caused social media uproar as it announced it will host four performances of ‘The Family Sex Show’ in the city of Bristol, England next month.

On Tobacco Factory Theatre’s website, the play is described as a fun and silly performance about the painfully AWKWARD subject of sex, exploring names and functions, boundariesconsentpleasurequeernesssexgender and relationships”.

According to the information, the production will feature full adult nakedness, unbelievably bragging “at one point in the show everyone takes their clothes off”, will depict adults pretending to have sex in various positions and will address topics like “how can two people with the same parts have sex”.

The actors will inform and supposedly liberate the minds of their audiences by “using real life bodies, personal stories, songs and movement”.

The organizers say the show’s age recommendation is anyone from five years and over and encourages audiences to:

bring your children.

“Made in consultation with the School of Sexuality Education, this show is for everyone”.

Perhaps even more unbelievable, the production, which will be an hour long and will cost around $20 for an adult ticket and $10 for a child, has been funded by a British government grant from the state-run Arts Council England.

To advertise the show and to explain more about the concept, the ‘Family Sex Show’ performers and crew posted a shocking video to TikTok.

In the clip which has surpassed 381.4 thousand views, each individual introduces themselves, their pronouns and bizarrely describes their hair color before giving their account of the production process.

After going through the spiel about hair color and pronouns, Jessie, ThisEgg’s artistic director said she had wanted to make a show “that we wish that we’d have when we were younger”.

“Mostly, if we know our bodies then we know our rights,” she concluded. Although why five-year-old children would need to know their bodies or rights remains sketchy.

Another woman who introduced herself in the video as Ailie, Tobacco Theatre’s programming and events manager, said:

“The Family Sex Show is a fun and playful show for adults and children aged five and up. It offers an honest, human sex education that is feminist, queer, non-binary, inclusive and sex positive”.

Astounded and disgusted Twitter users expressed their concern about the sex show’s targeting of young children, with some suggesting the authorities should intervene.

“I’m assuming the police and child protection people will be there to stop this then,” said Martin Kirk.

“Hey kids, shall we go and watch some people get undressed today while they talk about sex? Take your kids to the Namco Station or bowling or anything. Just not this,” said film producer Hayden Hewitt.

At the very least, this show should not be advertised for children.

There will be six performances of the Family Sex Show at the Tobacco Factory Theatre, Bristol from May 5 to May 8.
