“Reckless Open Border Policies”: DeSantis Blames Biden’s Border Weakness for Death of Florida Couple

Recently, the state of Florida saw two of its citizens die in a horrific crime committed by an illegal immigrant, by a sociopathic criminal who shouldn’t have even been here in the first place. The police, reporting on that crime and arrest, said:

The Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) makes an arrest in the murders of a married couple who were found dead four days ago as they were heading home from Bike Week festivities on Main Street.

32-year-old Jean Robert Macean – a resident of Orlando – was captured at 5316 Point Vista Circle in Orlando around 11:00 a.m. today (March 10, 2022) by a task force comprised of members of the United States Marshals Service, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Orlando Police Department.

This was one of the most brutal murders I’ve ever seen in my 20-plus years as a police officer in Daytona Beach,” stated Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young. “We want to thank the entire Daytona Beach community and the communities around us for providing our detectives with over 100 tips. We appreciate that level of cooperation in such a serious matter.”

A married couple was murdered–brutally hacked and slashed to death–by an illegal immigrant (hence why they say “resident of Orlando” rather than “citizen of Orlando”), their bright lives snuffed out by someone who never should have even been in America.

Well, Florida Governor Ron Desantis is furious about that and not willing to shut up about it in the name of political correctness. No, he sounded off on the issue in a press conference in which he blamed Biden’s open border for the crime, saying:

“Floridians should not be subject to the reckless open border policies that the Biden Administration is imposing on this country. These policies are deadly — we also need answers as to why the State Attorney’s Office dropped charges against the defendant.”

He added that a change in policy is the reason why the Haitian national was able to kill the Florida couple, saying:

“The Aultmans suffered at the hands of an illegal immigrant due to open border policies that are failing our citizens. the Biden Administration announced a new Temporary Protected Status designation for Haiti last year, a reversal of the policy of the previous administration. The policy allowed Macean to stay in the country.”

And while this one crime was particularly heinous and recent, it’s far from the only time that illegals have killed Floridians, as Just the News pointed out, saying:

St. Augustine resident, 25-year-old Corbin Wagner, was allegedly killed by Dominican national Orlando Gonzales-Beato, who was charged with driving under the influence manslaughter. He had no U.S. driver’s license or address and a blood-alcohol level of .270, three times the legal limit, FHP reported.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer on Gonzales-Beato at the time for him to be released to ICE because he was in the U.S. illegally.

Their murders also came after a Jacksonville father of four was allegedly stabbed to death in October by a Honduran national. The 24-year-old man had entered the U.S. illegally claiming to be an unaccompanied minor. It took the work of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to uncover his real identity and age, which hadn’t been done by Homeland Security or Border Patrol agents when he first entered the U.S. illegally.

Illegal immigration kills. At least Florida has a governor in Ron DeSantis who’s willing to stand up to the Biden Administration and its demented illegal immigration policies.
