Rand Paul Ruins Biden’s SCOTUS Nominee with Brilliant Questions

Kentanji Brown Jackson, Biden’s press secretary, ridiculously said that she couldn’t say what a woman is when asked to do so by Senator Marsha Blackburn.

Specifically, Sen. Blackburn askedCan you provide a definition for the word ’woman’?” Jackson, in a ridiculous statement following a bit of back and forth, said “Not in this context. I’m not a biologist.”

Biologist or not, knowing what a woman is is important, particularly for a Supreme Court justice that will have to rule on cases involving that question and the issues of gender that have become legion in America as of late.

Senator Rand Paul ripped her over her inability to say what a woman is and explained why that is so important during a Newsmax appearance.

Beginning his takedown of future Justice Jackson, Paul got right to the point, giving numerous examples of just how that question might come up, saying:

[M]y main objection has been to her sort of inability to answer even the simplest questions. You know, Senator [Marsha] Blackburn asked her a question and said, ‘Can you define a woman?’ Well, if you’re not even willing to answer that question and many of the questions she has been unwilling to answer — if you can’t answer the question, ‘What is a woman?’ or the definition of a woman, how is she going to adjudicate Title IX cases that have to do with women or women in sports? How is she going to adjudicate whether a boy who swims for [U Penn] can all of a sudden switch and pretend to be a girl and swim on the girls’ team?

Indeed. That’s really the question and why Blackburn’s question was so important: The question is one that needs to be answered, regardless of whether Jackson wants to or not. It’ll come up sooner or later and we’ll know her opinion then, so it’s necessary to understand it now.

Continuing his takedown of Jackson, Senator Paul then showed how she might ruin women’s sports, saying:

She’s not going to be able to adjudicate any of these things, or perhaps she is telegraphing us that she is going to be able to adjudicate them in such that you can be whatever you feel like you want to be that day, which will lead to a ruination of women’s sports and lead to really chaos in women’s sports and women’s athletics.

I mean, what kind of bizarre world are we living in now that the woman of the year is really a man that has had some kind of surgery to remove their secondary sexual characteristics. That’s the woman of the year we’re supposed to be celebrating? What about real women? We’re not going to celebrate real women who are doing amazing in our country in every occupation you can imagine?

Emphasizing his point and explaining how Jackson’s perspective is harmful to women, Senator Paul said:

We’re going to let men who now think they’re women get women’s prizes? I mean, that’s just an amazing insult. I mean, if she can’t define women, I think she’s going to be part of the problem.”

Watch that here (discussion of Jackson beginning around the 2:00 minute mark):

Senator Paul has a point: if Jackson herself can’t answer such a basic question, how can she be expected to rule on it in a way that’s fair to Americans and leads to good judicial outcomes?
