“Reviewed the Footage”: Barr Discusses Epstein Death

In Former AG Bill Barr’s book, the one in which he stabbed Trump in the back, former AG Bill Barr also discussed the Epstein suicide and gave his impression of what happened on that fateful night in 2019.

And his opinion on the topic is important for two reasons, as the Daily Mail reports: (1) Barr was the AG at the time, and thus the top man meant to deal with Epstein, and (2) many people think Epstein didn’t kill himself. In that outlet’s words:

Barr was the AG when Epstein killed himself in prison in August 2019. He was tasked with investigating how Epstein was able to kill himself while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.

Conspiracy theorists speculated that Epstein was murdered in order to stop him from telling prosecutors about who else was involved in his child sex trafficking ring, if anyone. His family attorneys also said that the marks on his neck looked as though he had been strangled and not hanged by a sheet.

So, what did Barr say on the subject in the book? That, according to video footage that he reviewed, nothing untoward happened that night, or at least that no one entered the area where Epstein was being held. In Barr’s words:

“The New York City medical examiner had conducted an autopsy and ruled that Epstein killed himself by hanging. Other evidence also pointed to suicide, but it was the video evidence that confirmed the medical examiner’s finding.

Continuing, he said “I personally reviewed that video footage. It shows conclusively that between the time Epstein was locked in his cell at 7:49 p.m. on the night of August 9 and the time he was discovered the next morning at 6:30 a.m., no one entered his tier.”

Barr then wrapped up the section on Epstein by saying “As for Epstein, it was no consolation to me that an odious criminal was dead. He should have been given a fair trial and, if found guilty, made to answer for his crimes. That he was not is deeply disappointing to me.

Perhaps Barr is telling the truth; it is, after all, more than plausible that Epstein killed himself.

What’s suspicious about that is that, when Epstein died, we were told that the cameras recording what was going on in his cell had malfunctioned and erased the recordings of what happened that night. Perhaps the FBI somehow recovered the video, as it was trying to do.

So, Barr somehow saw some footage and was convinced by it that Epstein hung himself and wasn’t murdered by someone breaking into the facility to kill him.

If that is indeed the case and there is video evidence showing that, then hopefully the government will release it to show everyone that Epstein did in fact kill himself that night, or at least that no one broke into the prison.

Until then, until the footage is released, it’s likely that rumors about his death will continue to swirl.
