Arrested Three Times in One Day: LA’s Zero Dollar Bail Insanity Put on Full Display

It used to be that people defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and hoping for a different result.

Well, thanks to the soft-on-crime policies of leftist politicians and Soros-backed prosecutors and DAs, it’s time to change that definition to “letting criminals out of jail on $0 bail over and over again and hoping they don’t commit more crimes after facing no repercussions for their past crimes.”

Why? Because that’s exactly what those radical, pro-criminal prosecutors and DAs are doing and it is utterly insane.

One of the most ridiculous examples of what zero dollar bail, a soft on crime policy if there ever was one, can lead to (unsurprisingly) comes out of LA.

There, Breitbart reports that a criminal was caught, arrested, and let out of jail three times in sixteen hours thanks to Los Angeles County’s “emergency” zero dollar bail policy. In the words of that press release from the LAPD:

“On February 13, 2022 just after 3:00 a.m., Glendale PD patrol officers observed a male (later identified to be 47-year-old James Langdon of Los Angeles) pacing in a parking lot near the intersection of Colorado St. and Louise St.  The officers then observed Langdon run out of the lot and across a crosswalk against a solid “Don’t Walk” sign.  Officers attempted to stop Langdon for the infraction but Langdon ran from officers.  Officers pursued Langdon on foot, caught up to him and after a brief struggle, detained Langdon for the observed violation…

Later, on February 13, 2022 at approximately 9:30 a.m., GPD officers responded to a business on the 1400 block of E. Chevy Chase Dr. regarding a male who was trespassing.  Upon arrival, officers located Langdon who was determined to have entered the business and was attempting to gain entry to a closed part of the business with a screwdriver…Langdon was subsequently arrested and booked for trespassing, but due to L.A. County’s emergency “Zero-Dollar” bail order, Langdon was released from custody within three hours of being booked with a notice to appear in court at a later date.”

After both those arrests, Langdon had to be let out of police custody without paying a dime because of leftist policies. Two arrests in six hours thanks to the utter insanity of soft on crime leftists.

But, as could be expected, Langdon didn’t learn his lesson after suffering approximately zero consequences for his actions. So, he went on to commit another crime and get arrested again.

As reported in the LAPD press release about the crazy day:

“A few hours after Langdon was released…Glendale PD officers responded to an apartment building …regarding a burglary that had just occurred.

And who did they find? Langdon, of course:

Officers were notified that residents had arrived home to find their door ajar, several items displaced within the apartment, and could hear a male’s voice yelling inside of the unit.  When officers arrived on scene, they observed a male, later identified as 47-year-old James Langdon of Los Angeles, walking the building’s hallway.

In the course of the burglary, Langdon caused thousands upon thousands of damage to the apartment complex and apartment he broke into, damage he was only able to inflict upon law-abiding citizens because of LA’s soft on crime policies.

Thankfully, his third and final crime of the day was severe enough that he was locked up on a $150,000 bail, according again to the press release.

LA got lucky that he didn’t inflict any damage other than property damage; he could have killed someone and those who let him out time and time again would be responsible.
