What do parents want from public schools? For their kids to learn how to read, write, do math, and get along with others. It’s pretty simple, really, they just want their kids to go to school like they did. That’s what normal Americans want.
But, of course, public schools are controlled by leftist teachers’ unions that prefer to not work than work and, when they do show up to teach, are utterly incompetent. So, unfortunately for parents and even more unfortunately for their kids, they rarely get all that much of value out of the instruction.
Instead of reading skills, they get CRT-based hatred of white America. Instead of math skills, they learn that math is racist and Christopher Columbus was a bad guy. Instead of learning how to write effectively, they’re indoctrinated with LGBT propaganda. Leftie politics come first, learning comes second.
Yet worse, they now “teach” their pupils that trash while forcing them to wear masks, using Covid as an excuse to flex their power and get some sick sense of gratification our of making kids wear their face diapers.
So, a few brave governors are fighting back, namely Ron DeSantis. In addition to striking a blow at the regime by banning the teaching of CRT in Florida schools, he went ahead and passed a law saying that masks couldn’t be forced on students by their incompetent, tyrannical teachers. His view, a view shared by many Americans, is that the masking decision is one that should be made by parents.
School boards, however, didn’t like that. Not one bit. So they went guerilla and tried to fly below DeSantis’ radar, demanding that kids mask up regardless of what the government and parents think.
DeSantis, rather than tolerating their dissidence or playing along like a RINO would, saying that everyone is free to his opinion, went scorched earth in a brilliant speech, as Louder with Crowder reported. Watch him here (you’ll have to click the image):

The speech is long, and the teachers’ union comments don’t come until the end. But when he gets to them, it’s brilliant.
Speaking on those unions and forcefully rejecting their push to keep masking kids, DeSantis says:
“Rather than take money that may penalize a teacher or student because of the actions of some union-controlled school board member, my view would be, let’s not do that.
But what you could do is say that any parent whose kid was illegally forced masked this year […] they should have the right to sue if their kids have any negative effects of it: if they have speech problems, if they have emotional problems, physical problems; they [the school boards] flouted the law and they should be liable for the consequences of their actions.”
Time for the leftists running the school boards and teacher unions to lawyer up! DeSantis is ready to rumble and it looks like he’s not going to show a bit of mercy to those that are in his way.
