Fox Destroys MSM Viewership For The 25th Week in a Row

Last week, Fox News Channel again demolished the radical leftist mainstream media channels from MSNBC to CNN, blowing them out of the water and winning by a massive margin of average viewers. That would be the 25th week in a row that Fox News Channel has absolutely destroyed the competition.

News on that comes from Fox, which reports that it averaged about 1.5 million viewers. While some of its top shows, such as Tucker Carlson tonight, receive far more viewers and push its primetime viewership up closer to 2.5 million.

In fact, outside of primetime, where USA and MSNBC managed to eke out 1.4 million and 1.3 million viewers, respectively, Fox was the only cable news channel to surpass the one million viewer mark, something it did by a very healthy margin. CNN couldn’t even beat the one million mark during primetime, only bringing in 555,000 viewers.

By contrast, its top competitor, USA, could barely manage to garner half of the viewership of Fox, averaging 800,000 viewers outside of primetime in the week of January 31 to February 6. That’s not a shamefully low number, as is the case with some of the others, but it’s still low.

Then, after USA comes MSNBC, which had 690,000 average viewers. White it’s impressive that they found that many angry cat women to watch the view, it’s still remarkably low for a major cable channel.

But the numbers get lower, much lower. After third-place MSBNC came the non-news channels. Discovery, Hallmark, INSP, ESPN, and HGTV all came in fourth through eight, then there was CNN.

Yes, that’s right; most Americans are still sane enough to prefer HGTV to CNN, which only managed to average 467,000 average viewers and came in ninth. No wonder Zucker was forced out and so much of its top “talent” is being fired!

The primetime numbers mentioned are even more impressive than they might seem at first glance, for Fox, at least. Fox News Channel, during that time, managed to secure a whopping 58% of all cable news viewers, meaning that it not only got more viewers than the rest of the cable news channels combined, but did so by a healthy margin!

Further, Fox managed to grow its viewership by 22% in the past year, whereas all the other cable news stations that it’s competing with saw declines. CNN lost a shockingly large 63% of its voters since this time last year and MSNBC did little better, losing 49% of its audience. Ouch!

In terms of what programs did the best, the most-watched show from the cable news stations was “The Five,” which averaged 3.63 million viewers and just barely beat out, “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” which had an average audience of 3.61 million. Those two even managed to beat “The Bachelor!”

By contrast, CNN’s primetime programs did horribly, according to Fox, “TV Land, A&E, Lifetime, Food Network and TLC are among the 17 basic cable offerings that outdrew CNN’s primetime staples Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon.”

Makes sense, if I have to watch a potato on TV, I’d rather watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives than Brian Stelter too.
