“People Need to Go to Jail”: This GOP Rep Has a Warning for Clinton, Others

Rep. Kat Cammack, a quite conservative representative from Florida, has a message for both Republicans and those who have acted corruptly and gotten away with it: “people need to go to jail” and she’s ready to start putting them there.

That comment, one of her many comments on accountability, came during an interview with Breitbart, one in which she spoke on what the GOP should do after regaining control of Congress in a 2022 red wave.

She began that series of comments on what needs to be done by describing who she’s coming for and saying that locking them up and holding them accountable should be the primary goal of the next Congress, one that it’s widely expected the GOP will control. In her words:

When we take the House back in the 118th, first and foremost, we are going to be focused on accountability, people need to go to jail.

I’m talking about the Hillary Clintons of the world, I’m talking about the Eric Holders, I’m talking about all these people who have continued to cause strife and division, break the law, subvert the Rule of Law, and they have never been held accountable.

She went on to expand what topics the GOP needs to investigate, going into thing that happened abroad in recent years and remain unresolved, from the origins of Covid-19 to Hillary Clinton’s abandonment of the brave Americans who died in Benghazi:

We’re going to go after the origins of COVID-19, we’re going to be looking at how we can earn the trust of the American people back. Because for so long, there has been two standards: one for thee, and then rules for the other people that don’t have power, that aren’t well-connected.

[We also need to investigate] all of the issues we’ve had in years past that have gone unresolved, like Benghazi. With Afghanistan now, that’s going to be another one.”

She then again emphasized that the GOP needs to start rolling with those investigations immediately after retaking power, wielding what power voters give them not in the shy, almost apologetic way that conservatives typically wield government power, but in the bold, aggressive way that we know it needs to be used to hold the corrupt, criminal left accountable. In her words:

And once we take the House, we roll hard on executing that plan, because the American people they deserve accountability, and they deserve action. And those are the two things that we’re going to be giving when we take over the House.”

Cammack’s comments will likely be slammed by the now unlistened to mainstream media, much as Trump’s 2016 presidential debate comment that Hillary “would be in jail” was described as a comment straight out of a banana republic.

But she should stand by them; she’s not calling for political investigations of enemies, but for people who obviously broke the law to be held accountable by Congress and punished for their wrongdoing. If she successfully pushes Congress to do that, it’s gonna be quite busy.
