Watch: High Schooler Rallies His Peers against Mask Mandates

Young Americans get a bad rap. Thanks largely to how much millennials whine and complain about every issue, older Americans tend to think that all young people are leftists that blindly follow whatever fools like AOC and her ilk are saying online.

But that’s untrue. While many Gen Z kids are awful and epitomize what is terrible about America right now, following in the worst footsteps of the spoiled, radical millennials, many others are brave patriots that are standing up for what is right even as everything and everyone around them demands that they conform.

That was recently seen in a video shot in Washington, where a young hero with a killer mullet brilliantly rallied his peers to protest the mask mandate still in force at their school, Washougal High School. Watch him and his rousing, terrific speech here:

As you can hear, he yells at his fellows to behave in an upright, righteous and peaceful manner, saying “We want this to be a peaceful, respectful movement. We’re just trying to gain back our rights as citizens.”

He’s right, of course. If such stands against the regime are to work, they have to be peaceful displays that demand the regime change without giving it an opening to strike back and appear to be the good guy.

Righteous anger and utter disgust with the regime are, frankly, more than understandable. But that’s not all that is necessary. Planning, restraint, and a willingness to do what is hard and remain peaceful will all be necessary as we progress forward, as the ability to act in that manner will be what gives us a step up on the regime.

It’s what worked for MLK during the Civil Rights Era and Ghandi in India and will work now; however hard it might be to stick to the plan articulated by this young man, we have to remember that behaving well is necessary when fighting what is largely a battle of optics.

He does, however, get one thing wrong. The teachers are not “just doing their jobs.” The teachers, the members of the school boards, are not just haplessly sitting around. They’re the ones that have pushed to keep schools closed, pushed to inflict all these evils on their students. They must be held just as accountable as the administrators that receive most of the blame.

Other than that point, however, this young man deserves to be cheered by all that hear him; he gave his fellow students something to look up to and brilliantly articulated how young Americans, and indeed Americans of all stripes, can stand up and win when fighting against the corrupt regime.

If you want to stop wearing a mask, following in the footsteps of these students is a must; no longer can we sit by and wait for things we hate to go away, it’s time to take peaceful but direct action to secure our rights and defeat the regime.
