Karma: CNN Insiders Call for Brian “The Potato” Stelter to Be Fired

Jeff Zucker, the far-left former CNN CEO, was recently forced out of his position, supposedly resigning because of an undisclosed relationship with a fellow CNN employee but more likely being forced out because of how CNN circled the drain during his tenure.

Then Whoopi Goldberg made a less than thoughtful comment about race and the Holocaust, receiving a slap on the wrist that then caused her to threaten to self-destruct, so she might rage quit “the View” over a two-week suspension.

What could be better than watching two major leftist figures get eaten by the even more radical leftists that dislike them? Watching three leftists get taken out by their own side!

Fortunately, that might be happening, as rumors are swirling that Brian “The Potato” Stelter, the rotund CNN talking head that Don Jr. just destroyed on Twitter, might be forced out of CNN too.

News on that comes from the Daily Mail, which reports that:

Media critics are calling for Brian Stelter to be fired after failing to report the ‘open secret’ affair between top boss Jeff Zucker and staffer Allison Gollust.

‘The network needs to step up and fire Brian Stelter,’ a CNN insider tells DailyMail.com. ‘He is allegedly our top media reporter – yet he failed to report on the scoop that everyone in the office knew. And if he wants to say he didn’t know, he is truly terrible at his job.’

As you can probably tell from the statement, the basic allegation is that Stelter is either corrupt or beyond incompetent, as he is good friends with Zucker and would have known about the affair yet failed to report on it. The Daily Mail articulates that again later in the article, also noting that in his case, the refusal to report on such a major story was very hypocritical:

‘Brian Stelter should be calling his agent to start looking for another job,’ they said. ‘He’s been Jeff Zucker’s water boy for years and no one believes he didn’t know about all of this.’

The source added that Stelter often criticizes competing networks, like Fox News.

‘He’s been sitting on his moral high horse doing Jeff’s bidding and ripping Fox and every other media outlet that Jeff tells him to while his ratings crash and burn. Where was he on the biggest story at his own network after chastising everyone else?’

Of course, everyone at CNN supposedly knew about the affair, so it’s not entirely fair to blame him for not reporting on the situation. Sure, he didn’t, but neither did anyone else that knew about it.

We’ll see if CNN, which has been devouring its staff due to sex and pedo scandals recently, fires Stelter. At this point, it likely can’t afford to lose yet another major anchor, however terrible he may be. Still though, the new owner seems to be cleaning house, so perhaps the potato will find himself without a job sooner rather than later.
