Trump had lots to say when speaking to the Washington Examiner about the January 6th Commission and New York AG’s attempts to drag Ivanka before it, something he describes as a way Nancy Pelosi is attempting to distract the country from Joe Biden’s many, many failings.
And it’s not just Ivanka that the commission, which is acting like a Soviet-style tribunal or kangaroo court, wants to drag in to question. It’s also coming for Don Jr. and Eric, both of whom didn’t work inside the White House but did serve as outside advisors.
As a result, Trump is absolutely furious and had lots to say about the commission and what it’s up to.
First, speaking on the issue of the commission and how it’s acting, Trump said “They are using whatever powers they have. They couldn’t care less. They are vicious people.”
Then, attacking the commission as nothing more than an attempt to hide Brandon’s failures, he said “It’s a disgrace, what’s going on. They’re using these things to try and get people’s minds off how incompetently our country is being run. And they don’t care.”
They’ll go after children,” he added.
They will indeed. How long until Pelosi’s minions come for Barron Trump, his youngest son? If and when they do, would anyone really be surprised that Pelosi is doing such a thing?
Trump then continued on the topic of the Democrats coming after Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric. That’s not just happening in the form of Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th commission, but also in New York, where New York Attorney General Letitia James is investigating Trump’s properties. That’s despite him being a real estate developer for decades; Pelosi’s many real estate holdings haven’t been investigated one bit.
Speaking on that investigation and declaring it to have political motives, Trump said “She [AG Letitia James] campaigned on a whole issue of ‘I’ll get Trump. I’ll get Trump.’ And that’s all it was.”
The Washington Examiner added that “the investigations create a model for an investigation of Hunter Biden, the president’s controversial son who has been linked to questionable financial deals, if the GOP regains control of Washington. ‘It’s a very bad precedent because it can happen the other way also,’ he said.”
If only it would happen to Hunter; a commission looking into his computer would certainly dig up more than what could be dug up about Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, all of whom are accomplished businesspeople and none of whom are as scandal-prone as Hunter the former crack addict.
Finally, speaking on his children and how they’re handling the January 6th commission’s attempts to come after them as a way of scoring political points, he said “They’ve done a great job. You know Ivanka very well, and you know the quality of her,” he added. “For them to have to go through all this stuff is a disgrace.”
For a party that wants to defund the police and routinely lets career criminals off the hook and out of jail, the Democrats sure are coming after Trump and his children with a vengeance. Is an accusation of them having political motives really that surprising?
