Six Cops Were Murdered in December of 2021 Alone

While many of the BLM riots had calmed down by December of 2021, the crime wave sparked by them was still continuing unabated.

In city after city, most of them deep blue, thugs roamed freely, able to sling drugs, murder rivals, and rob or loot with near impunity.

And while those crimes are bad enough, they were added to by an evil greater evil: the murder of a half-dozen cops in December of 2021 alone. Those six deaths topped off what was already a record number of cops killed in a year the months before December.

Those six officers murdered in the last month of last year are, in alphabetical order, Madison “Skip” Nicholson, Antonio Antoine Valentine, Richard Houston II, Keona Holley, Sean Riley, and Marlene Rittmanic.

Nicholson, a police officer in Alabama, was shot and killed in Willcox, Alabama on December 1st.

Valentine, a St. Louis police officer, was killed while chasing a suspect in a vehicle pursuit.

Houston, an officer in Texas, was killed in Mesquite, Texas on December 3rd.

Riley, an Illinois Sherrif Deputy, was shot and killed on December 29th while responding to a call for motorist assistance.

Holley, a Baltimore police officer, died the day before Christmas Eve, a week after being ambushed and shot in cold blood by two men who have since been taken into custody.

Rittmanic, also an officer in Illinois, was killed when responding with her partner to a call about abandoned dogs in a motel parking lot.

If the “Defund the Police” movement pushed by the radical left has done anything, it’s emboldened criminals, especially those that want to do great harm to their fellow citizens and police officers.
