Law enforcement has been a staple in our communities.
The various agencies have been responsible for maintaining law and order, even in areas in which drugs, gangs, and gun violence are promoted by corrupt local and international thugs.
In spite of the partial defunding and criticism of the NYPD, The New York Police Department is making a difference, even putting their own lives at risk.
A shared video from the department on Tuesday shows one of its brave police officers risking his life to save a motorist from a nearing fiery death.
Body camera footage captured the moment an officer — who remains unnamed at the time of this reporting — rushed over to a vehicle that crashed into a Bronx storefront and burst into flames in late November.
A motorist was trapped inside the vehicle, prompting the officer to wrench open the driver’s side door and pull the man out before it was too late.
According to the New York Post, officers on the scene attempted to extinguish the blaze while the other officer jumped into action to pull the disoriented male victim from the vehicle.
NYPD News’ Twitter page shared the video, captioning it, “When seconds matter, NYPD officers are here for New Yorkers — at any cost. We’re fortunate that the driver of a vehicle engulfed in flames wasn’t seriously injured and grateful to count these heroes as NY’s Finest.”
