President Biden sounded odd at his press conference on Friday — in more ways than one. After discussing the recent “disappointing” jobs report, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked him about his voice sounding “different.”
“Your voice sounds a little different. Are you OK?” Doocy asked.
“I’m OK … What I have is a 1 1/2-year-old grandson who had a cold who likes to kiss his Pop,” Biden answered.
The president’s response did not exactly reassure the American people about his state of health.
The jobs report on Friday did not reassure anyone about the U.S. economy’s ‘state of health,’ either.
“The U.S. economy created far fewer jobs than expected in November,” CNBC reported, “in a sign that hiring started to slow even ahead of the new Covid threat, the Labor Department reported Friday.”
Specifically, nonfarm payrolls increased by just 210,000 in November. Unemployment rate fell from 4.2% from 4.6%, and the labor force participation rate increased to 61.8%.
But it isn’t the Covid threat itself that looms over the economy as much as uncertainty stemming from the White House’s unlawful and capricious ‘mandates.’ The federal vaccine mandates have suffered numerous legal setbacks, resulting in a nationwide moratorium on enforcement.
Meanwhile, the heavily touted Omicron variant has thus far been described as “mild” by physicians, and has been found to be transmitted by “fully vaccinated” patients — even those with “boosters.”
