While Kaepernick Compares the NFL to Slavery, He Cashes Chinese Checks. China Actually Uses Slave Labor

The climate alarmist elites aren’t the only hypocrites out there; Colin Kaepernick is giving them a good run for their money. How so? Well, he’s cashing checks from one of the few nations on Earth that still uses slave labor while complaining about how multi-millionaire pro-athletes are essentially slaves. Here’s what Breitbart reported:

Kaepernick’s new bio-doc, Colin in Black & White, recently dropped on Netflix, and in one episode, Kaepernick claimed that being an NFL player is something akin to modern-day slavery. During a scene, Kaepernick decries that the players are “poked, prodded, and examined” for defects ahead of an NFL Draft. And in another, the show portrays players standing on an auction block as white people bid on them.

[…]The controversial, former second-string quarterback more famous for protesting against our nation than for playing football didn’t mention in his bio-doc that white NFL players go through the same process to be drafted into the league.

Yet, there is something bigger that Kaepernick did not feel disposed to mention to his fans in his bio-doc. He has a bit of a slavery problem of his own. Kapernick has for years been a multimillion-dollar partner with Nike, one of the world’s biggest sportswear makers. And it just so happens that during the entire time that Nike has capitalized on Kaepernick’s popularity in some circles, the company has been embroiled in accusations that it uses Chinese slave labor to produce its products.

Last year, for instance, a report published by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) revealed that up to 83 internationally known brands – including Nike – have active ties to factories where the Communist Party has shipped Uyghur Muslims to be “re-educated” as slave labor.

Oops. He must have forgotten to mention that he benefits from slave labor. The report Breitbart mentions is quite shocking. In it, the ASPI details how company after company (including Kaepernicks’ benefactor, Nike) benefits from China’s use of slave labor.

For example, the report notes that:

a factory in eastern China that manufactures shoes for US company Nike is equipped with watchtowers, barbed-wire fences and police guard boxes. The Uyghur workers, unlike their Han counterparts, are reportedly unable to go home for holidays

It remains to be seen if Kaepernick will insult and attack the Red Chinese slave-drivers in the same way he has viciously slandered and attacked those that made him wealthy.

According to him, even the Betsy Ross flag is an evil symbol of slavery. If that’s the case, is the same not true of those Nike sneakers made by Uighur slaves in a factory surrounded by barbed wire and patrolled by guards? Surely, actual slave drivers like Nike and its CCP allies are just as reprehensible, if not more so, as those that existed in the past, even under Kaepernick’s twisted logic.

So far, however, Kaepernick has not rejected the slave-created cash nor called out the CCP or the factories that operate in China for their reprehensible use of slave labor.

Nor has his employer, Nike. It, in a statement over the summer, did quite the opposite and instead claimed that it is a company that is “of China and for China.” Yet worse, it worked to shut down a bill that would have punished China for using slave labor. As The Federalist reported at the time:

Nike partnered with Coca-Cola and Apple to lobby against a Xinjiang forced labor measure last November. The bill — called the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act — made its way through the House of Representatives 406 to 3.

The bill would have “impose[d] various restrictions related to China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region, including by prohibiting certain imports from Xinjiang and imposing sanctions on those responsible for human rights violations there.” An Australian report from March 2020 alleged Nike, Apple, and 80 other corporations are “potentially directly or indirectly benefiting from the use of Uyghur workers outside Xinjiang through abusive labour transfer programs as recently as 2019.”’

Both Kaepernick and Nike have shown their true colors in supporting China. Whatever woke statements they make about the American flag or American history, they’re apparently willing to tolerate slavery now if benefits their bottom line.
